One-time GPS confirmation

Encrypted end to end
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on our infrastructure. Access is limited to authorized personnel.
Hosts never see your ID
Your host receives a pass/fail result and your signed form, never your ID images or biometric data.
48-hour guest-record deletion
Guest check-in records are permanently deleted within 48 hours. Hosts may choose to save a check-in form for future use, which then stays in their account until they delete it. Persona may retain biometric information for up to 90 days.

What hosts and guests ask before their first check-in.
Is my ID and selfie safe?
Yes. Your Government ID and Live Selfie are verified by Persona. Your host only ever sees a pass/fail result and your signed check-in form. Your host never sees your ID images or biometric data, and your check-in data is automatically deleted within 48 hours. We never sell your information.
Do guests pay anything?
No. Checking in and verifying is completely free for guests. Hosts subscribe to WelcomeVerify to manage properties and review verified guests.
Do guests need to download the app?
Yes. Guests use the free WelcomeVerify app to check in. Open it, enter the property address (or your host's invite), and follow the steps. Available on iOS, with Android coming soon.
What if my live selfie won't verify?
You'll get retry tips, and after a few attempts your host's contact info appears, plus an optional backup code your host can share, so you're never locked out at the door.
Can I verify before I arrive?
Yes. Complete the ID and Live Selfie step ahead of time in good lighting. When you reach the property you just re-confirm your phone, pass the one-time GPS check, and sign.
What does the host actually see?
The verification result (passed, needs review, or failed) and your signed check-in sheet. Never your raw ID or biometric data.
