Which account do you have?
WelcomeVerify™ has two roles. Guests never create an account, so the steps differ.
- Hosts sign in with an email address and password. That is an account, and it can be deleted.
- Guests check in using a phone number and a one-time code. No account is created, and the check-in record is deleted automatically — see below.
Hosts: delete your account in the app
- Open the WelcomeVerify™ app and sign in as a host.
- On the Host Dashboard, tap Settings at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Hosts: delete your account by email
If you cannot access the app, email support@welcomeverify.com from the address on your account with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm your identity and delete the account. We aim to complete requests within 30 days.
Guests: your data deletes itself
Guests do not have an account to delete. Your check-in record — name, signature, contact details and stay dates — is permanently deleted within 48 hours of check-in, automatically and without any action from you.
Your government-issued ID images and facial biometric data are captured and processed by Persona Identities, Inc. WelcomeVerify™ never receives or stores them. Persona retains them under its own policy for up to 90 days. To request earlier deletion, email us at the address above and we will pass the request on.
What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted when a host account is deleted: the host's name, business name, email address, phone number, notification preferences, saved addresses, and every property check-in form belonging to that account, including door codes, WiFi details, house rules and disclosures.
Deleted automatically within 48 hours: all guest check-in records, regardless of whether any account is deleted. Hosts may elect to save a Host Check-in Form for future use; a saved form stays in the host's account until the host deletes it.
Kept after deletion: records we are required to retain by law, such as transaction and tax records for in-app purchases, which are held for the period the applicable law requires. Subscription billing records are also held by Apple or Google under their own policies — deleting your WelcomeVerify™ account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Delete some data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Hosts can delete an individual property and its check-in form at any time from the dashboard. You may also email us to request deletion of specific personal data, and we will respond as required by the law that applies to you.
